About Locarya
A free directory that connects people who need work done with local providers who do it.
What we do
Locarya is a marketplace for everyday trades and home services — plumbing, electrical work, cleaning, painting, carpentry, gardening, HVAC and moving. Customers browse providers in their area, compare the services and indicative pricing each one publishes, and send a booking request directly.
Providers create a listing describing their business, the services they offer, their pricing and the hours they usually work. Once an administrator has reviewed the listing, it becomes visible to customers.
What it costs
Nothing, for either side. There is no listing fee, no commission and no subscription. The platform does not process payments at all — a customer pays their provider directly, by whatever method the two of them agree.
Prices shown on a provider’s profile are indicative figures published by that provider. They are not quotes, and the platform is not a party to the arrangement.
What we do not do
We do not run background checks, verify qualifications, inspect insurance, or certify anyone. An approved listing means an administrator reviewed the information the provider supplied — nothing more. It is not an endorsement, and we do not describe it as one anywhere on the site.
We do not guarantee work, mediate disputes, or hold money. Deciding whether a provider is right for a job remains the customer’s own judgement, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a safety net that does not exist.
Reviews
A review can only be left by the customer whose booking was marked complete, and only once per booking. Ratings shown on a profile are calculated from published reviews alone. A provider with no reviews shows no rating rather than a zero.
